Overview
A member of the DPA Microphones d:fine 4088 family which features one of the most clear, consistent, and robust miniature mics you'll find on the market, the 4288-DC-F-F10-MH is a beige-colored cardioid headset mic that comes equipped with a 100mm (3.9") boom which will accommodate varying uses and head sizes. It features DPA-developed CORE technology which adds even more performance to an already exemplary 4088 lineup. Additionally, this particular model comes equipped with a fixed TA4F Mini-XLR connector—compatible with Shure U1, UR1, UT1, SC1, SLX1, ULX1, TOA WM4300, PGX1, Line 6 XD-V70L (all sold separately).
Its cardioid, directional polar pickup pattern provides superb off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations, as well as efficient suppression of distant sound sources, making it ideal for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns.
The mic capsule is a first-order pre-polarized pressure-gradient transducer hidden in a small and lightweight housing. Its sleek, elegant design puts it among the most invisible head-worn cardioid microphones available, and it's mountable on either the right or left side.
