Overview
The DPA Microphones 4288-DC-F-F10-LH is a cardioid headset mic that's a member of DPA's d:fine 4088 series which features one of the most clear, consistent, and robust miniature microphoness you'll find on the market. It's colored beige, comes with a 120mm (3.9") boom which can accommodate varying applications as well as head sizes, and features DPA's recently-developed CORE technology (see below) which adds a little more performance to an already exemplary 4088 lineup. Additionally, this particular unit also comes with a TA-4F Mini-XLR connector which is compatible with Shure U1, UR1, UT1, SC1, SLX1, ULX1, TOA WM4300, PGX1, Line 6 XD-V70L - all sold separately.
This Headset mic sits more securely around the head and works great for active performance applications where the person wearing the headset won't feel the presence of the microphone. It has a cardioid polar pickup pattern that provides exceptional off-axis rejection in high-SPL situations as well as efficient suppression of distant sound sources, so it's ideal for demanding live performance environments where background noise and feedback are concerns.
